Their guard dogs can be kept away from the house on request. Costa Rica has many dogs and this neighboorhood seems to have a bit more on average: after a fully quiet (rainly) first night, we did wake up (once) both other nights from neighbouring dogs, which you will hear from time to time on the day as well. But its not too bad.
Recommended for everyone who wants to be not to far from San Jose but wants a nice and probably much safer place to stay. It takes a while to cross Heredia but you'll reach the 1 and the airport in a good half hour. We could well find it following the acurate instructions from the 32; returning from a trip from another directions we were happy to have the location stored in Nokia off line navigation.
